The first place to visit is the Nilometer .It’s located in the southern tip of Roda El Manial Island. It is one of the oldest existent structures which dates back to the Abbasid period just after the Arab ruled of Egypt. Proceed tour to visit the remarkable ElManial Palace museum, erected by Prince Mohamed Ali Pasha “King Farouk’s uncle” and one of the grandsons of Muhammed Pacha El Kabeir builder of the famous white alabaster mosque in the citadel, Muhammed Aly had it designed in a style integrating European Art Nouveau and Rococo with many traditional Islamic architecture styles including Ottoman, Moorish, Persian, creating inspired combinations in spatial design, architectural and interior decorations, and sumptuous materials.
