Alexandria tour to The Ancient Egyptian pyramids:
Early morning our tour Representative will pick up you from your cruise ship docking at Alexandria port, then a private transfer
in A/C modern vehicles to go to visit the eldest Egyptian capital Memphis & the eldest pyramids of Egypt, Dahshur pyramids &
Sakkara complex pyramids that were built before building the famous pyramids of Giza
First your tour guide will introduce you to Memphis, or Men Nefer, which means the beautiful monument, it was the first Egyptian
capital 5000 years ago, proceed tour to its Necropolis which is Saqqara, there in Sakkara are different Egyptian pyramids, the most
famous is the step pyramid which was built 4800 years ago for king Zoser, you can enter in Teti pyramid, never in Unas pyramid
because they are working to restore it, Unas was the first pyramid to have coloures & designs inside it, The step pyramid of Zoser
belongs to the 3rd dynasty, while Unas pyramid is from the 5th dynasty, Giza pyramids are from the 4th dynasty
you will have a chance to enter one of the very beautiful colored tombs ( mastaba ) in Saqqara, (optional tour to the Serapium, if you
like to do )
then proceed your guided tour to Dahshur where you will visit the red pyramid & bent pyramid, these 2 pyramids are belonging to
Senefru, Fther of Cheops, the builder of the big pyramid in Giza
by this way,in your day tour from Alexandria to Pyramids in Cairo, you see three different styles of Egyptian pyramids, the step, the
bent, the real pyramid representing how was the Ancient Egyptian experience to arrive from mastaba tomb to build a real pyramid
to be the tomb for the Egyptian Pharoahs
Lunch , if your time permits, so a shopping tour before going back to Alexandria.
End of your tour , transfer back to Alexandria, then to Alexandria port for your cruise ship
