 Hatshepsut temple is located in  a spectacular natural amphitheatre of reddish rock, sacred to the godes Hathor, stand three temples that , when the sun is high in the sky and the glare is dazzling, blend into the background of rocky walls, This is the so called El Deir El Bahary ( means monastery of north ), because it took its name from ancient Coptic monastery in the area, Hatshepsut is arguably one of the most formidable women in ancient Egypt.
 After her husband death,  Hatshepsut served as co-regent to her nephew , and stepson, the infant Thutmose III, who would eventually become the 6th pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty. The roughly 22 year reign of Hatshepsut is generally regarded as one of Egypt’s most prosperous, and major accomplishments were achieved by this extraordinary pharaoh, including the construction of her mortuary temple in Deir el-Bahri.
